Changchun University Introduction
Changchun University is a multi-disciplinary university authorized by Jilin Provincial Government. It is located in the capital city Changchun and includes three campuses all together covering 1,129,000 square meters.
Changchun University is proud of its long history. The university passed the Undergraduate Teaching Evaluation successfully in 1997 and won the honor of Outstanding University of Undergraduate Teaching in 2006. Till now we have trained more than 40,000 undergraduate students.
The library, as one of the best in Jilin province, holds a collection of 1.38 million volumes of printed books and journals. Since 2003, the university has invested 208 million in reconstruction and extension project to improve learning and teaching conditions. The university is consist of 19 institutions, offering 43 undergraduate degree courses, and represents over 13,000 students. There are over 613 instructors in the university, including 91 professors and 206 associate professors, At present, Changchun University has 3 national level science research centers, 1 provincial key academic discipline, 1 provincial key science lab, and 2 provincial key humanities and social sciences research bases. The education scope covers a wide range of fields, including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, and management.
The Foreign Affairs Department and International Culture Exchange Institute have the honorable title for their outstanding work given by Jilin Provincial Government for 10 years. With the open-ended idea and usage of international education recourses, we have implemented many international projects and programs. Changchun University is one of the 200 institutions that are authorized by the National Education Committee to accept foreign students. At present, Changchun University has established ties with 65 universities from 15 nations such as Japan, the United States of America, South Korea, Russia, Canada and United Kingdom. We have co-operated with Raffles Education Corporation establishing Raffles International College. There are more than 150 specialists employed and invited to our university for work and lectures recent years. At the same time, lots of outstanding teaching staff and administrative staff go abroad for further studies supported by Changchun University.

Introduction of Changchun city
Changchun is the capital of Jilin Province and the provincial center of politics, economy, science and technology, and culture, famous as the“City of Automobile”“City of Film”, “City of Technology" and “City of Spring”. Changchun has a population of 7.6 million, including counties and county-level cities.
Changchun is the biggest automobile research and development center in China. Chinese first truck and car was birth in Changchun.
The railways of the city lead to Liaoning Province, Heilongjiang Province, Beijing, Tianjin and Tangshan, and link with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation. Changchun Airport is an international port, with 28 domestic and international air routes open now.
Changchun is one of the important market-places and good distribution centers in the Northeast.
The city has developed a steady trade tie with over 60 countries and regions in the world and established sister city relationships with nine foreign cities, such as Sendaisi in Japan, Birmingham in Britain, Flint in USA and Ulsan in the Republic of Korea.

Changchun City is a "Forest City" urban afforestation rate has reached 38.8%, one of the highest rate of afforestation cities in China. Changchun is also famous of its cultural landscape, like Puppet Manchurian Imperial Palace Museum and Eight Departments of Manchukuo. The Puppet Manchurian Imperial Palace Museum is one of the three existing palaces in China. Winter traveling is a hotspot in Changchun, you could not only go skiing skating, riding motor sled, but also could enjoy the fun of ice sculptures, snow sculptures and other types of snow arts.
